This Mugo Pine was purchased as a two year old seedling from a nursery in 2008 and planted in the ground to thicken up. Once a year it was pruned to start to develop the branch structure.
In 2012 the tree was dug up and put in a plastic training pot.
Over the next four years it underwent a programme of wiring and pruning to develop the major structural branches.
Since 2017 the development work has been concentrating on the smaller branches. The tree was planted on the slab in August 2020.
